Today is about how to use みたい！！( ・∇・)
It is very important and everyone use it everyday!! hahaXD
Let’s check how to use it and try to use it!! x)
➡︎It is basically means “look like N” but if the sentence says about “sound” it can be “sound like”, and if the sentence says about “smell” it can be “smell like”.
➡︎N2 like/look like/taste like/sound like etc N1
the verb is depend on N2.
➡︎N2 can be object for the subject of the sentence.
This hard to understand so let’s see some sentences!!
kare no kinniku wa iwa mitai desu
His muscle is like a rock.
岩 is a noun. so “noun+みたい” pattern!
buruburu-chan wa jippungo ni kuru mitai desu
Buruburu seems to come in 10 minutes.
That sounds interesting name btw XD haha
Yuki mitai ni nihongo ga umaku naritai
I want to be good at speaking Japanese like Yuki.
This means the person who said that is not good at Japanese compare to Yuki.
日本語 is the object in the sentence.(subject is 私 even though it is hidden).
私はユーキみたいに日本語がうまくなりたい. is the same sentence.

I cannot sing well like you.
unchi mitaina nioi ga suru
