今日は、”まで”と”までに”の違いについて勉強しましょう!!o(`ω´ )o

That is one of the typical complicating problem so let’s check it out and do some quizzes after!!xD

How to use まで & までに!

まで…till, until
time+まで
location+まで

までに…by
time+までに

Example.1
来週末まで日本にいます。( ・∇・)
raishuu matsu made nihon ni imasu
I am staying in Japan till next weekend.

来週末(らいしゅうまつ)
next weekend

This is “time + まで” pattern 😀

Example.2
お昼の2時まで休憩で、それからまた仕事です!( *`ω´)
ohiruno niji made kyuukei de sorekara mata shigoto desu
It’s break till 2pm and then back to work.

休憩(きゅうけい)
rest, break 
This is also “time + まで” pattern!!

Example.3
ここまで来て〜!(*゚∀゚*)
kokomade kite
Come until here

ここ means here, this place, so this is “location + まで” pattern!( ・∇・)

Example.4
東京から大阪まで新幹線で3時間くらいかかります。
Tokyo kara Osaka made shinkansen de sanjikan kurai kakarimasu
It takes about three hours from Tokyo to Osaka.

新幹線(しんかんせん)
bullet train

This is also “location + まで” pattern!!

明日までに全部準備しておいて!( *`ω´)
ashita madeni zenbu junbi shiteoite
Prepare everything by tomorrow.

全部(ぜんぶ)
all, everything
準備する(じゅんびする)
prepare

This is “time + までに” pattern!
It is similar to “by + time” in English.
